Cheryl Hamilton and I organized the first Queer Printmakers group exhibition at Malaspina Printmakers in Vancouver, BC. The exhibition expanded from July 21 to August 13, 2023. Cheryl was responsible for artist facilitation, gallery setup, and opening reception. I was responsible for administration, funding/sponsorship, and communication. It was a very large expenditure we volunteered many hours and skill to make the exhibition a huge success.

The goal of the exhibition is to highlight 2SLGBTQAI+ presence in the printmaking community, and to reinforce the history of printmaking as a tool of protest and preservation.  Printmaking is a fine craft of multitude of techniques that makes it unique within the fine art world.  The exhibition is part of the 2023 Vancouver Pride celebration calendar. The group exhibition was a unique opportunity to showcase queer content within the Canadian printmaking field.

Below are photos from the opening reception.

I created social media and poster graphic designs for the exhibition.

The exhibition is supported by Hammer Co. Lawyers LLP, Chandra Levac PREC, and Opus Art Supplies.
