Presentation and artist demonstration of international visiting artists in Oaxaca City, Mexico. I was able to present my art practice of ink extraction with Oaxaquenos dye ingredients of cochineal, pericón, marush, and anil (indigo). I explained my method of ink thickening for silkscreen printmaking on paper.
I hand made the paper with abaca (a type of banana palm) and hemp pulp.
Presentation was hosted by a local art and local cuisine artisan space in Oaxaca Centro.
Additional demonstration and collaboration was made at Ojos Tres (Three Eyes) with local young emerging artists of indigenous background.
