Pier 57 HRPT x Google
The project is lead by Downstream PDX and Google.
I was the concept designer and illustration lead for the Hudson River Park Trust’s (HRPT) new home at the newly renovated Pier 57 in NYC. I had the pleasure to work closely with the Downstream staff of designers, developers, and programmers. As a team we worked closely with the scientists and conservationists of the Hudson River Park Trust, based in Manhattan, NYC.

Below are some animated living creatures for the Dive Wall.
The second portion is the Oyster Toadfish Game: the visitor will learn the life cycle of the infamous Oyster Toadfish that is indigenous and endanger to the Hudson River estuary.
The Oyster Toadfish will encounter scenarios such as mates, territorial challenges, nesting, and etc.
The third portion is the Feature Wall, where an interactive landscape is projected onto a sculptural relief wall.
The landscape changes between the four seasons: SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, WINTER.
Below is the spring season.
Below is the winter season.
Each scene is interacted with different living assets such as Monarch Butterflies and Cormorant.
Some of the assets require animated frames, such as the song birds below: Junco and Warbler.
