Silkscreen printed on dyed abacá paper with ink paste of the oregon grape. Abacá or Manila Hemp, is a palm tree fibre widely used in Asia for paper making and weaving. The abacá paper is chine-collé onto the Rives BFK printmaking. This plant is indigenous to the coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest in North America.

The calligraphy is 桃心棪葡 oracle Chinese text to name the plant.
