Silkscreen printed on dyed abacá paper with ink paste of sandbar willow. Abacá or Manila Hemp, is a palm tree fibre widely used in Asia for paper making and weaving. The abacá paper is chine-collé onto the Rives BFK printmaking. The sandbar willow is a plant indigenous to the similkameen river valley of eastern high desert region of British Columbia and Washington state.

The calligraphy is 沙貍柳樷 oracle Chinese text to name the plant.
